Burton Joyce & Bulcote Local History Society is proud to be associated with a new project initiated by Gedling Borough Council that aims to bring the heritage of the Borough to life. To celebrate the opening of the project, the Society will be holding a Heritage Day in the Carnarvon room on Saturday 16th June. In addition to our usual exhibits we will be staging a special display, on loan from Stoke Bardolph Heritage Association, of artefacts associated with local farming, including implements from bygone days.
We will also be hosting free guided walks on the day to visit some of our heritage sites. These will be at 10.30 am. and 2.00 pm. and will be push-chair friendly. Refreshments will be available, including a cream tea after the afternoon walk (small charge applicable). Meet outside the Old School. There will also be a free Heritage Walk at Stoke Bardolph on Tuesday June 26th at 2.00 pm. Meet at the Riverside Car Park.
